Another week, another dump of links to things we either found useful and/or interesting.
Reading list
- Inspirational/aspirational from Notion. Here's how they built a product management system to align every team. Naturally, you can duplicate their templates and get going with your own version.
- It's getting heavy right of the bat here. Here are three keys to fast loader functions in Remix, courtesy of Scott Smerchek.
Design of the week
- We loved this Earlynerd live presentation where Typotheque presented their work with the new font for the Norwegian national broadcaster NRK. Not sure if Grafill.tv makes recordings available, but they should. Regardless, we'll keep Earlynerd on our radar.
- Web design is converging to some boring boilerplate form. Pfft says Never Ready, it's fun to break the rules. Here's a play with text and animations in a minimalist design-by-code exhibit.
- Felt is making mapping easy and fun through their new open beta. Every despots dream. Use it for good, not for evil, no?
- Some UI geekery from Jonnie Hallman of Cushion. Here's the evolution of a tooltip design.
- Untitled UI gives you The ultimate icon library for Figma.
Tech of the week
- Telephoto lens on a Game Boy. This one is not new, but still needs appreciation. Abilities need to be utilised, and occasionally that results in ridiculous things that takes humanity nowhere. And that's why it's so darned cool.
- Exploits and hacks are getting bigger and badder every day. In a race-to-arms, Microsoft is deploying MFA to all users in the Azure Active Directory.
