Reading list

  • Us selling visual identities. Not really, but still.
  • Touted as the slickest implementation of gen ai yet, Notion AI is here to save the day, and with it a clippy-esque straight up creepy thing to front the show.
  • In the constant war for innovation and progress that is the internet, no one attends the funerals. Luckily, nostalgia finds some breathing space every once in a while, and here's a list of HTML tags nobody wants to use anymore.

Design of the week

  • Mozilla is undergoing a rebranding process, and we're excited to see JKR's work over at It's Nice That.
  • Discussing how this has nothing to do with Greece, we've still found lots of joy gaugeing the heck out of the new Grilli Type typeface GT Pantheon. Their work is always worth a minute of your time.

Tech of the week

  • "The path we're on is not sustainable". A quote that could pertain to almost anything these days. But the words belongs to the Cloudflare CEO, and the particular perp in question is AI scraping. Our very own site fell victim to this last Friday, and we're glad to hear that Cloudflare has a new tool that detects and blocks AI bots. For free, even.
  • The Wordpress vs WP Engine drama explained, over at TechCrunch. When ever you hear that there are a string of cease and desist letter getting passed back-and-forth, you know you're in for a popcorn worthy drama. Some further background here.
