Design of the week
- Smashing work on the new Effeff visuals from Molberger. It's just right.
- Kurppa Hosk visitet town yesterday and gave a lecture about essentialism, hosted by Grafill Grafisk Design and Snøhetta. An interesting talk, for those in attendance.
- Sherwood.news, a just launched news outlet that lives under the tagline "follow the money", is a subsidiary of the Retail trading giant Robinhood. Something about the setup here seems sus, but the site is mobile first, sweet and well worked through.
- Intercom has turned to AI to redesign themselves.
Tech of the week
- Sure, with huge expectations come huge dissapointments. But Humane AI pin simply doesn't work half the time.
- Craftquest hosted a talk on Caching strategies with Blitz. It's s a talk worth the wait, once the livestream is made available in the archive.
- Next.js 14.2 is out.
- The A11Y Project WCAC compliance checklist is very, very useful.
- Most of the videos on the 3blue1brown YouTube channel revolves around "Animated Math" and can sometimes be kinda hard for laymen to grasp. But, this video is likely the best explanation you'll find on how GPT actually works.
